Paired with an Engelmann spruce top, the K10 reaches the height of artistic guitar design. The combination of an Engelmann spruce top and Hawaiian koa back and sides offers a responsive, sweet tone that is matched only by the distinctive, jaw-dropping appearance of this exotic tropical hardwood. A traditional shape refined, we combine classic dreadnought volume and bass response with the definitive Taylor sound: clear trebles and an open, airy midrange that Bob Taylor's signature design accentuates. Recent re-voicing turns up the bass and volume even more. Dreadnoughts respond especially well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming. The finish used to create this guitar’s lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes. Available in natural finish.
